Jamael Anwar Hermitt-Westman is a British actor. He portrays Dr. George Spencer in the Apple TV+ period drama, The Essex Serpent.
Biography[]
Westman is best known for his titular role in the West End production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical Hamilton, for which he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award. In 2013, he moved into the television space, where he made his television debut on a single episode appearance of Casualty. He's also appeared in Identicals, Animals, On the Edge, and Anne Boleyn.
